In 2018, I started a new job as a sales rep and had to attend a training in a new city. A few colleagues and I arrived early on Sunday and wanted to celebrate new beginnings by going out for drinks. However, finding the right bar proved to be difficult and we had to try several places before finally discovering the perfect spot. What should have been an easy outing turned into a chore of searching. Sure…it was cool to learn about the city with a little trial and error, but it would have been ideal to find the right bar on the first attempt. 

 

That weekend led me to ponder how many other people experience the same issues every day. What about the people that live in a city for years and are still discovering local hot spots to hangout and drink? This inspired me to create a platform called Bar Hop, which aims to bring events, underrated bars and happy hours to the fingertips of users. My goal is to create something that can improve and guide the way people drink.
